King Richard III Visitor Centre
During the reburial of King Richard III’s recently-discovered remains in Leicester Cathedral, the historic Ledger Stone was temporarily relocated from the cathedral’s chancel to the King Richard III Visitor Centre, where it was put on public show. Juice Creative was asked to create an exhibition display unit to accommodate the priceless artefact.
We designed, produced and installed the bespoke display in the space of just three weeks, ready for the reburial ceremony. The Ledger Stone display unit is manufactured from brushed stainless steel, and incorporates LED lighting and interpretive graphics. The massive memorial stone weighs over 300kg, and it took a team of seven men to lift it into place.
