"The Unsung Hero of Christmas" – buy the book now!

The Unsung Hero of Christmas - Counter UnitAre we excited? You can bet your Christmas baubles we are! We’ve just taken delivery of 4,000 copies of our charity Christmas book: The Unsung Hero of Christmas. It was written, designed and illustrated entirely by the in-house creative team here at Juice and you know what – we’re really proud of it! More importantly, we can confirm that no profit whatsoever will be made from sales of the book – 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People!

As if that wasn’t enough, this week we’re also gearing up for an exclusive public display of digital artwork from the book. You’ll be able to see a selection of our festive pictures at the “Designers & Makers” exhibition, which takes place at the Pedestrian Gallery in Rutland Street, Leicester from 28 November to 23 December.

Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People covers the whole of the East Midlands, and is based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK. Children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions come to the hospice for specialist respite stays, symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care.  Their families are also supported and helped by Rainbows on their difficult journey. Care is provided by a professional team of highly respected nurses, carers and therapists together with a large support team, under the direction of a team of doctors providing specialist paediatric, palliative care for children in the hospice and in the community. Rainbows strives to help families escape from a hospital environment, focusing instead on a home from home atmosphere.

The Unsung Hero of Christmas – pre-order now!

The Unsung Hero of Christmas - Juice CreativeChristmas is coming! We want to start the celebrations early by raising over £10,000 for a Leicestershire children’s hospice. How? By producing a Christmas book!

Funded entirely by Juice, The Unsung Hero of Christmas features a quirky storyline about Santa’s elves and their quest to keep Santa and his mammoth task on track. The book was written, designed and illustrated entirely by our in-house creative team.

The book is available to pre-order right now at just £5 a copy, with 100% of the proceeds going to Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in Loughborough.

The Unsung Hero of Christmas is at the printers right now. Next week we’ll start despatching copies to everyone who’s placed an order. In addition, we’ll be selling the book all around the county: in the three Rainbows shops (Melton, Blaby and Matlock), via local businesses, and through the Juice website and the Rainbows online shop. It will also be available from the “Designers & Makers” exhibition at the Pedestrian Gallery in Rutland Street, Leicester from 28 November to 23 December.

As if that wasn’t enough, 200 books will go into the Christmas present packages given out by Rainbows to the children and their siblings each year. And we’ll be donating further copies of the book to local schools and libraries.

Juice Creative director Nick Taylor said:

“This year we really wanted to do something memorable to celebrate our 10th anniversary. So we thought we’d bring our unique blend of talents together to write and produce a children’s book with a charity connection. Rainbows was a natural choice because they do such fantastic work. We hope to raise as much money as we can for them.”

Kate Golding, Corporate Fundraiser at Rainbows, added:

“We would like to thank the team at Juice for coming up with such a lovely book. It is a wonderful way of raising funds to help us provide care and support to the 288 children and young people who visit Rainbows. We hope people will get in to the festive spirit and pick up a copy of the book.”

A Christmas tease

Snow HouseYes, we know it’s only November. But we’ve just seen the Coca Cola advert on the telly, and that must mean it’s nearly Christmas!

The run-up to Christmas is always a hectic time of year here at Juice Creative, and this year is no exception. We’re hard at work on a wide range of in-store material, not to mention some rather gorgeous direct mail and some pretty amazing video. As if all that weren’t enough, we’ve just won the pitch for a BIG below-the-line account. If we’re honest, we’re quite beside ourselves!

In the middle of all this excitement, we’ve even found time for our 2013 secret Christmas project. We always like to do something creative for the festive season. This year we’re really pushing the boat out. It’s far too early to tell you what we’re up to, but we’re confident it’s going to put smiles on a lot of faces.
